THE STORY
The idea of launching Sisters Claire was, ironically, dreamed up while sitting around a table covered with delicious home baking. Around this table sat two sisters, Cindy and Katie, and two Claires, one being the mother of Cindy and Katie, and the other being the daughter of Cindy. All four ladies had a deep love of baking, and the idea to start a small business selling sweet treats, in particular cupcakes, was formed.
For a long time, Sisters Claire remained a long term goal, with the business only becoming a reality due to a) pestering from family and friends to make and sell the sweet treats, b) fantasising about the business becoming a popular procrastination method amongst the ladies, and c) a trip to some markets where we realised our homebake seemed (at the very least) on par with other food stalls.
Sisters Claire is based in Brisbane, Queensland, and is now a regular stall at the Blackall Range Growers' Market (commonly known as the Witta Market) which runs from 7am - 12pm on the third Saturday of each month.
We hope you can enjoy our cakes... because we certainly love baking them! This may sound cliche, but it is absolutely true. Having cupcakes coming out of our ears to the point where there is no more room on any bench surface for them is a 'good' problem.
